Roman Catapult

$42.50

The Onager was a torsion-powered engine the Romans used to lay siege to cities. It fired projectiles with high velocity, great range and accuracy.

The Roman Onager kit re-creates the way the siege engine worked, so now you can build your very own wooden replica that can launch small clay balls (included) and other soft projectiles over 4.5 metres!

The design is adaptable for lefties (put the release mechanism on the left side).

With a build time of one hour, your completed onager will measure approximately 370 x 170 x 270mm.

Included in kit is everything you'll need to build your Roman Onager:

Instruction booklet Over 20 pre-cut and pre-drilled pieces, cut from natural, untreated wood Dowels Screw eyes Felt Leatherette sling Sandpaper Glue String Clay
Recommended for ages 14 and up.

This is an interesting and challenging build that works like the original design. This historical re-creation will keep you entertained for hours.
